Wal-Mart sees opportunity in Prodijeux’s smart, fun educational games
Wal-Mart of Canada has ordered AnagramPlus and AnagramPlus Junior for its stores in Quebec, just in time for the holiday season.
The highly acclaimed games have been a hit with buyers.
“We’re very excited and proud of this opportunity,” said Prodijeux, the developer of AnagramPlus and AnagramPlus Junior. “Wal-Mart, the world’s largest retailer, is an ideal venue for the games. They are family friendly, reasonably priced and, especially now, make perfect gifts for the holidays.

With successful sales of the games in Quebec, plans call for expansion into additional Wal-Marts.
The games have earned a bevy of prestigious awards from around the world. Hailed as educational yet fun, the object of AnagramPlus is to steal words by adding at least one letter to any word in front of an opposing player and rearranging the letters into a new word. But no word is safe, as players will only keep a just-stolen word until another player adds new letters to make a newer word and steal it a second time. The first player to complete six words wins.
AnagramPlus and AnagramPlus Junior, for kids, are the French-language companions of WORDXCHANGE AND WORDXCHANGE Junior, the English-language versions.
WORDXCHANGE AND WORDXCHANGE Junior have earned more than a dozen awards from parents, educators and game professionals.
